The Cedarburg Bog is located in the Town of Saukville, Wisconsin,
about 30 miles (45 minutes) north of Milwaukee and 1 hour 45 minutes from
Madison.
Public Parking at Cedarburg Bog
There is public parking at the north end of the bog (from the
intersection of County Highway Y and State Highway 33 in Newburg, go east on 33
2.6 miles to a parking area on the south side of the road). A short trail system
with boardwalks leads to a pier at Watts Lake.
There is also public access on the south boundary of the bog (go south on Y
4.2 miles,then east on Cedar-Sauk Road, 0.75 miles to a pull-off on the north
side of the road). There is a boggy, unimproved trail to Mud Lake that could be
used to launch a kayak or canoe into the lake. Watch for poison sumac along this
trail! (and in the bog generally).
